This will also help to prevent the dryness and itchiness associated with the formation of stretch marks.
Expect to see stretch marks on the abdomen, breasts and hips, so these are the areas you should monitor most. Vitamin E has been advocated for the prevention of stretch marks whils pregnant, but there are some who question its effectiveness. Simply drinking plenty of water will help, not only for stretch marks, but for your bodily constitution as a whole.
The stretch marks in pregnancy that looked so noticeable and red will soon fade to a pink, then a silvery shade over time. They will still be there, but perhaps not so apparent. Avoiding pregnancy stretch marks is the only real way to have no tell-tale signs.
There is a connection with your skin’s health and you diet. Eat well during pregnancy, but don’t over eat. Consume plenty of fruit and vegetables, especially the broad leafy greens. You may not be fully able to totally avoid stretch marks in pregnancy, but you should be able to limit the damage, or even control things to the point where no one notices, which will probably be quite acceptable to you.
