Best Ways To Get Rid Of Acne in a Week


Drying out your face too much causes even more acne to sprout! Be careful when you get rid of the stuff. Overdoing it will cause as much damage as neglecting the acne in the long run. Similarly, no product will naturally get rid of acne in a pinch. You can still cause some rapid changes, however. This is how you get rid of acne in a week.

1. Avoid harsh skin treatment.

Some products are simply too hard on your skin. This seems like a straightforward and logical approach to ridding yourself of the red devils on your face, but it actually backfires more often than you’d think. Implementing a ‘scorched earth’ strategy against the oil on your face actually prompts your glands to produce even more oil than before.
The human body works in mysterious ways, but we can predict some of them. You’ll end up with more acne than before if you aren’t careful about how you treat your skin. You don’t want to end up with more pimples than when you began to get rid of them, do you? Watch what you use. Anything that’s too harsh on your skin will prove to be counterproductive in the long run.

2. Clean your face frequently.

You need to clean your face every day. It needs to become a part of your daily rituals. Do this first thing in the morning and before you go to bed. Getting rid of acne quickly doesn’t hinge on some miracle product; it hinges on your ability to regularly take care of yourself.

3. Clean your face correctly.

Begin by rinsing off the excess grime and oil currently sitting on your face. You better believe that it’s sitting there right now! Proceed by putting a hot and wet cloth on your face for at least 30 seconds. The cloth will expand your pores, making it easier for a cleaning agent to clean them out. Acne forms when dirt and oil gets trapped in the skin. Expanding your facial pores also makes it easier for that dirt and oil to leave your face.
Apply a cleaning product to your face once the pores have opened. Choose something designed specifically for facial cleaning if it’s available. Soap can work, but it’s not ideal. Regular soap can be too harsh, and hand soap in public facilities can also just be too weak and diluted to be of any real help.
Don’t skimp on the products at this stage. Gently massage it into your face. Don’t be rough with it—remember that you want to keep your skin as moisturized and healthy as possible so as not to prompt more oil from your glands.
Proceed to rinse away the cleaning substance gently. Splash water onto your face, use another wet cloth, or just use your hands if you’ve cleaned them and lack a cloth. You need to get it all out of there. Most soap and cleaning agents work by trapping dirt and oil rather than exterminating them. That means you cannot leave the cleaning agent on your face without leaving the harmful stuff on there as well. Always rinse thoroughly.

4. Close the pores.

Apply a cold wet cloth to your face after you have cleaned and rinsed your face. Just as a hot cloth expands the pores to let dirt and oil escape, a cold cloth will contract the pores once you’re done cleaning. Why would you do this? Shrinking them prevents more dirt and oil from entering the pores once they’ve been cleaned. Some build up will still get in there throughout the day, of course, but the object of the exercise is to make sure that less gets into your face.

5. Use exfoliating products.

Sometimes a facial soap doesn’t do the job. Exfoliating products probably get a bad rap because they appear on every acne-cleaning commercial from the last decade. ‘Exfoliating’ has become a meaningless buzzword to most people. Some products even contain scrubbing beads that harm the environment, diminishing their popularity even further. Find one with biodegradable components if that’s a concern for you. They do exist!
Exfoliation scrubs the skin to remove the dead skin that tends to trap the dirt and oil causing you to break out into acne in the first place. The bad stuff stays in your pores, but it gets caught there through dead skin quite often. Exfoliation scrubs away the skin without drying it too much—which will prompt your glands to produce more acne-causing oils, don’t forget!

6. Use special sponges.

Alternatively, you can use something like a konjac sponge to gently scrub away the dead skin instead of buying a special exfoliating product. Combine it with whichever cleaning agent you’re currently using to get the best of both worlds. Remember not to scrub too hard!

7. Apply clay masks.

Clay masks usually serve to tighten up facial skin, but some of them can also contain sulphur. The sulphur contained therein can weaken or even remove some of the acne on your face. You can leave these on while you do other things, but do remember to keep your head still!
Clean your face like you normally wood, as indicated above, and then apply the clay mask substance gently to your face. Remember to get the contours of your nose! Leave it on for 30 minutes at least before you remove it.

8. Apply ice.

Ice doesn’t get rid of acne all on its own, but it does reduce swelling. Put ice on the acne for at least 10-15 seconds and then remove the ice for about a minute. Adjust these ice applications several times as needed—they’re just general guidelines that can change according to specific people’s physiology. The ice reduces the swelling and redness, which goes a long way toward downplaying the acne’s prominence. It’s a great way to maintain zits because it doesn’t introduce any new substance to your skin. You won’t have to pay anything for it either!

9. Remove facial wear.

Acne comes from trapped dirt and oil, and those things become trapped around facial wear such as glasses, hats, goggles, straps, or surgical masks. Sweat and dirt can build up around those areas to cause acne outbreaks. Most people don’t think to remove certain things from their face when they try to get rid of acne in a week, but it can make a substantial difference.
Acne is no laughing matter, but you can certainly laugh in its face after you remove it for good from your life! You can get rid of acne in a week, but of course, prevention is the next key step to make sure it stays away for many weeks to come!
