Best Ways To Get Rid Of Blackheads on Your Nose

Don’t you feel like you need and deserve to have clear and beautiful skin? You should have blemish-free skin, but this is not always the case. Blackheads can come along and ruin your day before you know it. Blackheads form on your face due to pores clogged with dirt, dead skin, and sebum. Sebum is the material that keeps our skin and hair lubricated and moisturized. So while it is important for our skin and hair, it is largely the cause of blackhead zits on our face.
The black of the blackhead is not actually dirt – when the sebum emerges from a pore clogged with dead skin and grime and oxidizes, it turns black and gives it its namesake. It seems, though, that the nose is the most commonly affected area for blackheads.
There are a number of remedies that you can do at home to get rid of blackheads from your face, and leave it healthy-looking with cleaner pores. When your pores cannot breathe properly, it gives way to even more unsightly and annoying zits, so it helps to keep your pores clean as often as you can – using natural, soft cleansers when possible.

1. Lemon juice.

Lemon juice is a great bitter product that you can use to clean up your pores. Simply take a lemon, squeeze the juices into a cup or bowl, and gently coat a cotton ball with the juice. Dab the cotton ball on your nose and other spots affected by blackheads. Do this a few times weekly for best results.
If you have sensitive skin, you may want to dilute the lemon juice with water before applying it to your nose. Tightening your skin too much could lead to more blackhead and other zit problems, which you will want to avoid, of couse!

2. Bentonite clay.

Bentonite is a clay made from volcanic ash that, when mixed into a paste with water, turns into a spongy substance that can provide an effective skin cleanser. Since it has a very strong negative electrical charge (don’t worry, you won’t get electrocuted), it can attract the positive charges of many toxins, so it has numerous health benefits.
To make a bentonite mixture, add a tablespoon of bentonite to a cup of water. Then, take your fingertips and apply a thin layer of the paste to your nose. Let it sit for 10-25 minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Afterwards, moisturize your face as you usually would.

3. Apple cider vinegar and mint toner.

When used together, apple cider vinegar and crushed mint leaves can make an effective toner for your face. Though this mixture takes a week to prepare, it can be worth it if you make it and use it correctly.
Take 3 tablespoons of both apple cider vinegar and crushed mint leaves, 8 ounces of water, and place the ingredients in a bottle. Store the bottle in a cool, dark place for one week or so.
After the week has passed, the mixture is ready. Apply some to a clean cotton ball and apply the toner to your face – leave it on overnight, or if you have sensitive skin, for just a few hours while you rest. As with the rest of these tips, follow up with a moisturizer.

4. Milk and honey strips.

Milk and honey both have properties that can clean your face and maintain healthy skin. The lactic acid in milk keeps the skin soft, and the antibacterial properties of honey will keep your face clean. Making strips of cotton gauze, honey, and milk is a natural and effective facial strip that you can make at home.
First, mix one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon in a bowl, and microwave it for 5-10 seconds, mixing it again thoroughly afterwards. After this, apply the mixture to your nose, and place a strip of clean cotton gauze onto the mixture. Let it dry for about 20 minutes, then strip the cotton gauze away. Rinse with cold water afterwards.

5. Green tea.

For those with sensitive skin, green tea may be the best option to cleanse your nose from blackheads. Green tea has exfoliating properties as well as antioxidants, so green tea leaves mixed into a paste with purified water makes for a good blackhead solution.
Scrub the mixture onto the nose for five to six minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water and moisturize how you usually would.

6. Use a Steamy Solution!

Sweating from your pores, either through exercise or in a sauna or steam bath, is an effective way to clean out the grime and sebum from your pores. If you don’t plan to exercise or use a sauna or steam bath, you can do it at home with a towel and boiling water.
Bring a pot of water to a boil, and pour it into a large bowl. Put a towel of your face, holding it like a tent so no steam escapes, and place your face close to the bowl of hot water. Under the towel will steam your face and open your pores – when you are done, after 5-10 minutes, rinse your face and gently wipe the blackheads from your nose and face.

7. Maintain a good skin regimen.

The best way to get rid of blackheads on your nose and face is to actively keep a good skin regimen daily. There are many options – depending on how often you plan to deep clean your skin, or what your skin type is like (dry, sensitive), there are countless combinations of things you can do to keep your skin clean and healthy.
You can buy products specifically for your face, or create things from home to use naturally and for much cheaper than buying a number of different facial scrubs and moisturizers. Shop around to see what works best for you.
Again, blackheads are not just dirt in your pores – the oxidizing of dead skin and sebum in your pores causes blackheads. Dirt is just one part of the equation. As you see, there are a good number of natural remedies to cleaning blackheads from your nose and rest of your face. Natural remedies are best for a few reasons – you can make them at home with things you likely already have at home, or if you don’t, you can come across them for quite cheap. Who doesn’t like saving a dollar or two!
