Everyone experiences the feeling of exhaustion from time to time. Daily tasks can slowly take a toll on you, and wear you out. At the end of a long day of hard work, you like to plop down on the sofa and take a nice rest in order to recharge.
Most call this being fatigued; meaning that your body has used up all of its ‘fuel’ that you receive from food, water, and rest. The majority of people can get their energy from these sources, and gain back enough fuel to get them through another day.
However, what happens when food and rest aren’t enough to keep you from feeling fatigued? Unfortunately, people suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) simply can’t seem to feel energized from these sources, leaving them with a feeling of constant tiredness.
What should you do in order to get back the energy that you need to enjoy life again? Fortunately, there are many lifestyle changes you can make in order to get rid of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Read on to discover what you can do!

1. Know the Symptoms

It’s true that much of the population feels tired a lot of the time, simply because of the demands of everyday life. How can you know if you are truly suffering from CFS? Here are the signs:
Constant fatigue, despite the amount of rest you’ve gotten.
Occasional memory loss along with difficulty concentrating.
Muscle pain or achiness.
Tender and/or enlarged lymph nodes.
An unexplained headache or sore throat.

For example, start with 10 minutes per day for a week, and then bump it up to 15 the next. Continue this pattern until you’ve reached the recommended 30 minutes per day.
Be sure to find some exercise regimes that you enjoy, so that it’s easy to make this behavior a habit. Try out different options, and find out what it is you like to do. Some exercises can include: jumping rope, running, swimming, or bike riding.

4. A Healthy Lifestyle

We’ve all heard the expression that food is fuel. Well, it’s important to make sure that your fuel is of good quality.
You want to fill your body with healthy energy through vitamins, minerals, and proteins. Be sure to stick to a well-balanced diet filled with fruits, vegetables, and lean meats. Stick to the caloric intake recommendation for your age, height, and gender. No more, no less.
Also, drink plenty of water throughout the day. Stick to at least two liters total, daily.
Stay away from smoking, alcohol, and processed foods as much as possible.

5. Rest and Sleep

Getting enough relaxation time and sleep is crucial for someone who has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Be sure to set aside at least one hour per day to put up your feet and relax. Be sure not to nap, though! This may affect your quality of sleep in the evening.
Make sure to set yourself some regular sleeping patterns: try to go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day. Your internal clock needs consistency in order to get the best sleep possible.
Also, be sure to avoid any caffeine after 11 a.m. Caffeine intake in the afternoon and evening can have a negative effect on your sleep quality.

6. Stay Busy Enough

The key to maintaining a good level of energy is to stay busy. A lack of activity in your life can cause you to become sluggish or feel down. Too much activity can suck the energy right out of you.
If you find that you’re not busy enough, find a new hobby, start a project, or take on more responsibility at work. If you’re too busy, try asking a loved one or co-worker for help with your responsibilities. Or, consider hiring someone to help you out with certain tasks.
